Kyler's Gettin Hitched

UPDATE: they have already moved the wedding date up to July 25 as 8-8-08 was a little too popular a date for them!


For all of you who know Kyler Jacobs he just got engaged to Kendra Farnsworth! YEAH! Look at the size of that rock! I'll have to post a pic of that later it is gorgeous! As of now they are planning on getting married on August 8, 2008!

Chris's mom took our family pictures so Ryan and Elena came home and took turns taking pictures of each other with my mom's tripod no camera just the tripod. They were so cute they would say cheese and then switch places!

We also got to go to 2 Easter egg hunts, Chris's parents set one up for the kids on Saturday and then my parents set one up for all the grandkids on Sunday, but I didn't take any pictures of the actual hunt cause everybody else was taking pics so eventually I'll just get copies!

Chameleon

So we were looking at my mom's blog today and she has a bunch of pictures at the bottom so Ryan and I were looking at the picture of Jason's family and I was asking him who the different people were and when we got to Camille I said who is this and he says "chameleon" there is a Handy Manny episode with a chameleon so he must have thought it was the same name, I love it when kids get words like that screwed up it is so funny!

This is a picture of Ryan and Olivia in Ryan's "special bed" (the crib mattress on the floor in the spare room we use this for naps so they don't interrupt each others naps) Olivia came in with me to wake Ryan up and decided she wanted to take a nap with Ryan as soon as they got all cuddled up Ryan said, "Mom don't you want to take a picture?" So I ran and got my camera and got this cute shot. I am so glad that they are such good friends it makes my life a little easier!

Recipes Website

So I thought I would share one of my favorite cooking helps on the web. It is a website called all recipes and besides having lots of really good recipes it also has some cool features. It has a way to search for recipes by ingredients, it is called ingredients search under the more searches tab. It is the best thing if you don't really know what to make for dinner you can go in and put all of the ingredients that you have and want to use and also you can list the ingredients that you either don't have or don't want to use for a meal and it pulls up a list of recipes it so neat. This is also a great feature if you have a name for a dish that isn't the same name someone else has for it you can type in the main ingredients that you know and it will usually bring up the recipe you were looking for just under a different name. The site also lets you sign in and have a recipe box so any recipe you really like you can put in your box so it is easy to find next time. Another on of my favorite things is it has user ratings and comments on pretty much everything, so it helps tell you what is good and what isn't but there are usually a lot of variations that different people use that they write in there comments it is great. Also on a lot of the recipes it has a servings and scaling part so if the recipe is originally for 4 people and you need it for 6 you can change the serving # and it changes the recipe to how ever many servings you need (way easier than trying to do the math yourself) Anyways I just thought I would share this wonderful site since I find myself going there at least once a week and it is a free membership so there is nothing to loose also you don't have to have a membership to use it it is just easier that way cause it keeps track of the different recipes that you have been looking at and the wonderful recipe box!

Oh it is also Olivia's 18month birthday today! Happy Birthday Livvy!

18 Months

So according to Livvy's little counter she is 1 year 5 months and 4 weeks old which seems like it should be 18 months old but no dice not until tomorrow, it did have me confused yesterday though I honestely that she was turning 18 months old today until Chris set me straight. Guess I shouldn't believe every thing I see on the internet. Also with that lovely 18 month "birthday" coming up it means nursery. Actually Livvy has been going for a while and has been fine but for about the last 2 weeks she won't even let me set her down without screaming which is totally typical so now that I can actually take her to nursery legally she won't go crazy baby!

Obviously this picture isn't from nursery but it is about the same reaction I get if I try to put her down. (don't worry I don't usually just sit and take pics of my kids when they are crying but pictures ususally make her happier so I tried this tactic, it did work after a while but I now have about 5 pictures of crying Livvy)
