First Birthdays!

I didn't realize both the older girls were wearing the same outfits on their first birthday or I would have dressed Amy in it.  She wore it the day before her birthday I think!  I just thought this was cool comparing my kiddos on their first birthdays!

Miss Amy's First Birthday

Sweet Miss Amy turned one on the 18th.  We were planning on going to the cardboard boat races that MSU was having for homecoming but it was cold and rainy all day.  So we signed Ryan and Olivia up for a cupcake decorating class instead and we all went to that and then used those cupcakes for a birthday cake for Amy.  I know I am a genius!  Anyway here are some pictures.
Amy also took her first solo steps on her birthday.  I know the picture is dark and it is just a few steps but she totally did it!

Catch up!

Wow so much for being better about blogging.  So I will do a hurry catch up post!   First of all it turns out that ISU was not able to open up a full time job and so we decided to look elsewhere for a job for Chris where he could use his Masters degree.  We applied all over the country and traveled to Nebraska, Washington, Nevada, Texas, and Boise to interview and turned down an interview in South Dakota cause we really just didn't want to move there.  We ended up accepting a job in Texas (the farthest one from my parents, so not cool!)  Chris, Amy and I traveled down to Texas in June and found a house.  We looked through 10 different houses in 1 morning decided on 1 that night and then put in an offer the next morning by lunch the sellers had countered and we countered again during lunch.  By the time lunch was over we had agreed on an offer and were in escrow!  We moved down to Texas the beginning of August and are really enjoying our time here so far.
Ryan started football the day after we moved here and we have gotten Olivia in some cookie, cupcake, and cake decorating classes.  Our new home also has a nice big pool  so we have spent a lot of time in the pool and both of the big kids had learned to swim well with in the first 2 days we were here.
So pretty much that is what we are doing!  Here are a bunch of pictures in no particular order!

Amy at 1 month

I don't usually do monthly pictures or anything but we randomly took a picture today and I realized she was one month today so  I will post a cute picture!
She wasn't a fan of the flash so no cute pics but at least she wasn't screaming in this one

love this face!

this was a few weeks ago but it was right after her first time at church

apparently church wore her right out!
The kids had their primary program when Emily was a week and a half old.  I don't usually take babies out that young but I wasn't going to miss the kids program, so we got her dressed and took her to church.  I only went to sacrament meeting with her and she slept the whole time and didn't even get out of her car seat,  but I had to take pictures of her in her cute dress!

Amy Morgan

So Amy Morgan Wertz was born at 2:41 pm on Thursday October 18th.  I was scheduled to be induced and to go in at 5am unfortunately they had 8 walk ins the night before I was supposed to go in so I was got pushed back.  I was so afraid they weren't going to let me come in at all which was really bad because we had places for all of our kids to go already.  So they let me come in at 8:30 luckily they got me all hooked up to the Pitocin but my Dr usually comes into break my water at 8am and since I didn't get there until 8:30 he couldn't come in until noon.  So they finally broke my water at 12:30 and I was at a 4 and got to a 10 by 2:30.  They got my Dr there and Christopher got suited up because he was going to deliver.  Two contractions later Amy was here.  It was again an amazing experience Chris did amazing and it was so cool that he was able to deliver her.  We decided to name her Amy after Christopher's Aunt Amy who we just love and will be such a good role model for our little girl,  and Morgan after Christopher's little brother who passed away while Christopher was on his mission.  She is so pretty she has dark hair and what I think will be blue eyes.  She is a lot paler than Emily was and her eyebrows are really light so I think she might end of with light hair eventually like Ryan.  She was 8 lbs 14 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.   Anyway she has been very healthy and is such a good baby!!!

Christopher's 30th

So Christopher turned 30 last month but it was just a week and a half before the baby was born so I never got around to posting anything.  I also didn't do a big party or anything for him since I was incredibly sore and exhausted.   So we had a few people over for cake and ice cream and called it good!
Chris's cake!  And my huge tummy!
We ended up unexpectedly going out of town the weekend of Chris's birthday and came home on his birthday which was a Sunday.  I thought I had a 3 candle but I didn't so he got a 29 candle plus 1!
