Soccer is Over

Soccer ended on Saturday and we were glad Ryan got sick of it but he did love the trophy he got at the end he was so excited about it, after we got home he wanted to take it to his nap with him. I set it up so he could see it but wouldn't let him have it in bed, he was okay with that. We will see if he decides to do it again next year. If nothing else we got a nice tan. Okay so he doesn't look that excited in the pic but really he was.

Olivia has finally switched to a big girl bed, about a month ago she started climbing out of her playpen and we couldn't get her to stay in bed so with this at least she can get back in herself after she stops throwing a fit. It is a good thing she is so cute!

Mother's Day

So I was thinking no presents for mother's day as Chris is gone and Ryan is only 3 a little to young to figure the whole thing out, although when I told him what day it was he got all excited and said, "Happy Mother's Day mommy" it was cute cause I didn't even have to tell him to say it. Anyways I did get surprised though Chris had Kyler put flowers and a note from him on my table while I was gone so I came home and there was a bunch of flowers it totally made my day. And then since I figured that I would have to make my own dinner I was going to make it good so I fed the kids mac and cheese and put them to bed early and then cooked myself a steak and had some leftover BLT salad (so good btw) so I had a fun easy really yummy dinner and all in all had a really good mother's day the kids even made cards for me in nursery. I am getting a sewing machine though from my anniversary/Mother's Days/birthday present since they are all with in 2 months of each other so if anyone has good advice on how to pick out a good sewing machine that would be great cause I am really excited to get one!

Back to playing a single mom

Chris is in Washington DC for a few weeks installing security systems before he starts summer school, so I get to play single mom again. I did this once before for a whole summer when I was pregnant with Olivia but wow I forgot that it is so hard. I know I don't see Chris a whole lot when he is here between work and school but there is at least some adult conversation. I am grateful though that Kyler lives downstairs it makes me feel just a little safer at night to know that all I would have to do is scream and someone besides my kids would know something is wrong. I just have to tip my hat to all of those single moms it is a big job and I at least get to talk to Chris once a day it is definitely and reminder to me that if I ever get upset with Chris life with out him is definitely worse than almost anything he could do. I also do have to do a little bragging on my man he got a 4.0 again this semester that is twice in a row he is so smart!

Homemade Bread

So I found a bread maker at a garage sale last Saturday for $5 but it didn't have an instruction manual or recipes or anything so I thought I would just look the manual up online, unfortunately it is not online but I did find a recipe for just very basic bread so I thought I would try it and that way if it didn't work I wouldn't be wasting too many ingredients well it turned out really yummy so I thought I would post the recipe for you all
Peasant Bread
1 1/3 C water
2tsp Sugar
1tsp Salt
3 C flour
2 tsp yeast
add to the bread machine in that order and just turn it on to basic cook it makes a 1 1/2 pound loaf and it is really yummy!
I will try and add some pictures but my camera wasn't working yesterday when the bread was fresh and it was half gone by the time I got some pics!

This is my new machine it is so pretty!

4 Years!

So I know I have posted this before but it is one of my favorite wedding pictures!

So this post is a few days late but Christopher and I had our 4 year anniversary on Wednesday the 23rd. It is so weird to think that we have been married for that long and at the same time it seems like we have been together forever. I really got lucky he is the best husband I don't get to see him very often since he is going to school and working but he is so good to me a such a good dad. I love him so much and am so grateful that he decided to take a risk on me. Just a quick engagement story. For those of you who don't know we dated in high school and then I sent him off on his mission the Nov after we graduated. I "waited faithfully" or at least was single when he got home. We went on a few dates and then 3 weeks to the day from when he got home we went to Salt Lake City to see the lights and temple square and he proposed right in front of the temple. I kind thought I knew he was going to but thought he is not that stupid this is way too soon but he did ask and even though I had planned to say no and ask me later I got my answer when he asked and found myself saying yes and have never regretted it! Anyway after we got engaged we spent the rest of our engagement apart as he was going to BYU and I was going to ISU. We got married on April 23, 2004 as soon as he got done with the semester. Anyways that is our story I'll see if I can find some cute pics!

This is actually the very spot where we got engaged!
I like this one mostly cause you can see the back of my dress and I loved the back of my dress I love the front too!

Soccer Monster!!!

These are pictures of Ryan's soccer practice and games the age group is 3-5 so Ryan is the youngest and he doesn't really like getting run over so he stays out of the action, but if you look at the picture right under this one it is Ryan at practice and he kicks it and makes a goal.

This is Ryan actually getting to kick the ball during the game this usually only happens right after the other team scores so we get to "kick off" or whatever they call it. The coaches are good to let the younger ones do that so they actually get to have some contact with the ball.
This is Ryan's usual place just a few steps behind the pack but there are other kids that don't even make it to the field so we are doing well!

OH and soccer games for this age are great most of the time the kids aren't in bounds and I don't know how many times the ball gets kicked the wrong direction down the field there is actually no goaly even because they are really not necessary and like you could really get a kid that old to stay at the goal and out of the action. It really is a lot of fun to watch! (p.s. for those of you with out a preschool aged child or the Disney channel "soccer monster" refers to an episode of Backyardigans which is Ryan's favorite show and the one with the soccer monster is his current favorite episode!)
Also if you couldn't tell the black arrows point Ryan out!
